The landscape photos that have given me the greatest pleasure are those that manage to capture the feeling of the location.

Any photograph of the Grand Canyon that failed to convey its awesome vastness would be significantly deficient irrespective of how visually pleasing the composition might be.

I’ve found that any insight you can provide into your personal feelings or thoughts about a location will help me compose and process the photo more in line with your expectations.

Of course, in many instances, the visual impact of a scene stands on its own merit and a straightforward un-retouched rendition of the subject is all that’s required. In such a case I’m equally happy to oblige.
